Porter Airlines to Cut Emissions With APiJET’s Digital Winglets

Canada’s Porter Airlines announced a collaboration with Seattle-based aviation tech company APiJET to deploy its Digital Winglets flight path optimization technology across Porter’s entire Embraer E195‑E2 fleet, which currently includes 46 aircraft and is growing.
The goal is to boost efficiency, cut fuel use, and reduce emissions. Porter expects 2–3 percent fuel savings per flight, 1–2 minutes in flight time reduction, and improved on‑time performance across its North American network.
Powered by NASA’s TASAR technology and APiJET’s proprietary tools, Digital Winglets enables flight path optimization tailored to each route.
It is designed to scale automatically with Porter’s planned fleet expansion to 100 jets.
Just a week before, on July 25, Porter Airlines submitted a joint request with American to establish a codeshare agreement.
