Ooredoo and Qatar Airways to Build National AI Hub

Ooredoo, an international communications company, and Qatar Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a national hub in Qatar dedicated to AI, cloud, and cybersecurity.
The initiative is designed to accelerate the nation’s digital transformation journey while also supporting its long-term goals for economic diversification.
At the core of the new AI hub will be a system powered by NVIDIA GPUs, which will provide the computational strength necessary for advanced AI workloads. This infrastructure is intended to support businesses, government agencies, and developers.
Ooredoo and Qatar Airways have built a hybrid cloud environment with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, while relying on the Nutanix Cloud Platform to unify cloud operations.
The announcement comes a couple of weeks after Qatar Airways revealed its “AI Skyways” program in collaboration with Accenture. The initiative is designed to integrate AI across airline operations, with use cases such as optimizing flight schedules, predictive maintenance efficiency, and passenger personalization.
