Navan Brings BoomPop AI into Events as Corporate Travel Gets Smarter

Untitled design

Navan announced that it upgraded its Meetings & Events platform by integrating BoomPop’s AI-powered event sourcing and planning tools. The update adds venue sourcing, room block management, and event planning workflows that were previously handled manually. Navan said the advanced functionality is now in beta for US customers, with a broader launch planned soon. BoomPop is an AI-powered corporate event sourcing and management platform that helps companies find venues, negotiate room blocks, and run event planning workflows such as registration, agendas, and vendor coordination.

This is an expansion of an existing product, not a new business line. Navan said it has already supported nearly 85,000 events through its self-serve group travel solution, including 30,000 in 2025, but venue sourcing and room blocks were still managed outside the platform. That gap is what this BoomPop integration is meant to fix.

Why this matters for the travel industry

Meetings and events are a major part of corporate travel spend, but planning them is often fragmented. Companies may use one tool for travel booking, another for venues, and separate systems for contracts, invoices, and approvals.

Navan is trying to solve that by combining event planning tasks with travel and expense management on a single platform. In practical terms, this could help companies move faster, reduce manual work, and improve cost visibility across events and business travel.

This Navan-BoomPop update also fits a broader shift in corporate travel tech. In January 2026, KAYAK for Business introduced an “Events” feature focused on managing travel logistics for meetings and other gatherings in one workflow, including booking, policy controls, payments, invitations, and reporting.

That example helps show the bigger market direction: travel platforms are moving beyond individual trip booking and adding event-related workflows to give companies better coordination and cost visibility.

What the BoomPop integration adds

Navan said the BoomPop-powered upgrade includes AI chat for venue sourcing, date and destination suggestions, a marketplace of event-ready spaces, and tools for RFPs, room blocks, registration, and agenda management. It also adds centralized finance workflows, enabling companies to manage venue contracts and invoices alongside travel and expense data.

Bringing those tasks together can make approvals and reporting easier, especially for companies running frequent offsites, sales meetings, and client events.

What to watch next

The latest confirmed status is that the advanced events functionality is still in beta for US customers, while Navan’s existing Meetings & Events capabilities remain available globally. The next important update will likely be the full launch timing and whether Navan expands the advanced functionality beyond the US.
