Mastercard and Uber Add Instant Payouts for Drivers

On July 24, 2025, Mastercard and Uber announced the expansion of their global partnership, adding new tools to modernize payments on the Uber platform.

The upgrade introduces instant payouts via Mastercard Move; Mastercard One Credential for digital identity and payment consolidation; and Mastercard Gateway for global transaction processing and fraud prevention.

Uber drivers and couriers can now access their earnings immediately after completing trips or deliveries.

“This partnership connects over 3.5 billion cards and more than 150 million merchants that accept Mastercard globally, together with Uber’s community of ​over ​8.5 million earners and 170 million users worldwide,” said Sherri Haymond, co-president, Global Partnerships at Mastercard.
