Marriott Officially Welcomes citizenM Brand, Plans More Hotels

Marriott International has begun integrating citizenM Hotels into its global portfolio, following the $355 million acquisition in July 2025.
The deal brings 37 citizenM hotels with nearly 8,800 rooms across more than 20 major cities worldwide, including key locations in the US, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
As part of the integration, citizenM properties are now available for booking on Marriott.com and through the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app, with the full transition expected to finish by November 20, 2025.
This integration also means that citizenM hotels are joining the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, allowing members to earn and redeem points, as well as access elite-tier benefits during their stays. Meanwhile, existing citizenM guests will soon manage reservations exclusively through the Marriott ecosystem as the citizenM app is gradually phased out.
Although now part of the Marriott family, citizenM will retain its original brand identity, which is known for its tech-driven design, compact luxury rooms, and contemporary social spaces.
Looking ahead, Marriott has plans to expand citizenM further into additional cities worldwide, aiming to grow its footprint beyond the initial 37 hotels.
