Kiwi.com Adds Flights to ChatGPT, Follows Booking & Expedia

Kiwi.com has announced that it is previewing its flight content inside the ChatGPT environment.
What the preview includes
Working with its technology partner Alpic, Kiwi.com is demonstrating how its flight content and interactive route maps will appear directly within ChatGPT.
Early adopters can already test the experience, which allows users to search routes, compare flight options, and view live prices without leaving the chat interface.
ChatGPT as a new flight discovery channel
By integrating into ChatGPT, Kiwi.com is tapping into a high-engagement environment where travelers are already asking questions about routes, prices, and travel timing.
Instead of redirecting users to external websites or apps, flight discovery and comparison can now happen directly within a conversation, reducing friction in the planning process and potentially increasing conversion.
Airlines are also exploring this channel. Recently, Virgin Australia partnered with OpenAI to allow travelers to describe their trip preferences in natural language and receive personalized flight recommendations. The airline has highlighted that Australia ranks among the top 10 ChatGPT subscriber markets globally, making this collaboration a natural fit for local traveler behavior.
Momentum across OTAs
Kiwi.com is not alone in this approach. Expedia and Booking.com were the first to connect their services to ChatGPT, signaling industry interest in chat-based distribution.
With the launch of OpenAI’s App Directory and the opening of third-party submissions via the Apps SDK, the barrier to entry for travel brands has dropped significantly. This enables OTAs, airlines, and travel tech companies to build chat-native experiences directly inside ChatGPT.
As more companies join the platform, travelers can expect a growing range of flight and travel services to become available within the ChatGPT environment.
