Frontier to Launch 20 New Routes in Spirit Markets

Frontier Airlines has announced plans to launch 20 new domestic and international routes targeting major US metropolitan areas, many of which will overlap existing Spirit Airlines routes.
The new services will roll out between late 2025 and early 2026.
The airline’s upcoming routes include
- Fort Lauderdale to Detroit, Dallas, Houston, Charlotte, and Baltimore;
- Houston to Guatemala City, San Salvador, San Pedro Sula, and domestic destinations; and
- Nonstop flights from New Orleans to Baltimore, Dallas, Detroit, and Houston.
Frontier is also upgrading its loyalty program, targeting a doubling of loyalty revenues to $6 per passenger by 2026.
The airline continues to pursue a merger with Spirit, which has declined the offer, arguing that it would be less advantageous to shareholders compared with its current post-Chapter 11 restructuring plan.
