Emirates Airlines Will Accept Crypto Payments in Late 2025

On July 9, 2025, Emirates Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com to integrate Crypto.com Pay into its digital payment system. The implementation is expected in Q4 2025 or early 2026.
This will allow customers to use popular cryptocurrencies (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum) and Crypto.com’s CRO to pay for flight tickets, upgrades, and ancillary services.
Emirates will become one of the first major global carriers to accept cryptocurrency payments. The airline aims to attract younger, tech-savvy travelers.
Before broader expansion, a pilot “soft launch” in select markets is anticipated in late 2025 or early 2026.
Emirates will settle transactions in AED, converting crypto in real time.
The initial phase will focus on tech readiness, compliance, and targeted market rollouts, with promotional campaigns to build awareness.
