Close out

Close out or stop sell in hospitality refers to a situation when a room or block of rooms is no longer available for sale across distribution channels.

A close out happens either when inventory is completely sold out or when a hotel revenue manager deliberately blocks reservations as part of yield management activities.

In a broader sense, to close out means to finish, terminate, or complete something.
