Hi there,

Traditionally, GDSs offer access to back office via dedicated account. That assumes you will have to sign a contract with whichever GDS provider you choose and discuss the price to access this data personally. In any case, there is no well-known GDS back-office system that offers openly-published data without any subscriptions.

We hope it answers the question.

Hello,

You’ve come to the right place.

We at AltexSoft specialize in travel-related APIs integration. Only recently, we’ve rebuilt an OTA’s booking engine with Amadeus GDS integration.

Our sales team will be in contact with you shortly to discuss the details.

The process of integrating the RedBus ticket booking API into your application involves the following steps:

Registration: Sign up for a RedBus developer account and obtain API access credentials, including an API key and secret.

Documentation Review: Familiarize yourself with the RedBus API documentation, which provides information about available endpoints, request parameters, authentication methods, and response formats.

Choose Integration Method: Determine how you want to integrate the RedBus API based on your application type (web, mobile, or desktop). You may use HTTP requests, SDKs, or client libraries provided by RedBus.

To access and integrate the Goibibo API, you'll need to follow these general steps:

  1. Register for an API Key:

    • Visit the Goibibo developer portal or API section on their website.
    • Sign up for a developer account or log in if you already have one.
    • Create a new application to obtain an API key or access token. This key will be used to authenticate your requests to the Goibibo API.
  2. Understand the API Documentation:

    • Familiarize yourself with Goibibo's API documentation. This documentation will provide information about the available endpoints, request parameters, and response formats. It will help you understand how to use the API effectively.
  3. Choose the Appropriate API Endpoint:

    • Determine which specific Goibibo API endpoint you want to integrate. For example, you might be interested in flight booking, hotel reservations, or bus tickets. Choose the endpoint that matches your application's requirements.
  4. Authentication:

    • Use the API key or access token you obtained in Step 1 to authenticate your requests. This usually involves including the key or token in the request headers or as part of the URL.
  5. Make API Requests:

    • Use your chosen programming language or framework to make HTTP requests to the Goibibo API endpoints. You can use libraries like Requests (Python), Axios (JavaScript), or HttpClient (C#) to send HTTP GET or POST requests.
  6. Handle API Responses:

    • Parse the JSON or XML responses from the API to extract the data you need. Depending on your application, you may want to display flight information, hotel details, or other travel-related data to users.
  7. Error Handling:

    • Implement error handling to deal with situations where the API returns errors or fails to respond. The API documentation will provide information on common error codes and how to handle them.
  8. Rate Limiting:

    • Be aware of any rate limits imposed by Goibibo on API usage. Ensure that your application does not exceed these limits, as it may lead to temporary or permanent suspension of your access.
  9. Testing and Debugging:

    • During development, thoroughly test your integration to ensure that it works as expected. Debug and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  10. Compliance with Terms of Use:

    • Adhere to Goibibo's terms of use and policies while using their API. Violating these terms can result in the revocation of your API key or other actions taken by Goibibo.
  11. Keep Up-to-Date:

    • Monitor Goibibo's developer portal for any updates or changes to the API. Make necessary adjustments to your integration to accommodate these changes.

Remember that the specific steps and requirements may vary depending on the Goibibo API you are integrating. Always refer to the official documentation and terms of use provided by Goibibo for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Klook is a travel activities (tours and attractions) platform. It allows travelers to book tours, diving activities, park visits, even train tickets, and more. It mostly targets travel in Asia.

From the inside, it works just as most big online travel agencies do. From the end-customer side, it has a mobile app and their website to book activities. And it connects with activity suppliers either via a SaaS interface (extranet) or an API. To get the idea, you can read how OTA back office works.

How to add Kayak API to my website?

Kayak has an affiliate program that you must enroll in before integrating their API. Keep in mind that Kayak doesn’t permit integration unless your platform has more than 100,000 monthly visitors.

If you have more, you can use their API or white label. To proceed you have to define which kinds of search data you want to receive and contact them directly.

If you have fewer than 100,000 monthly visitors, Kayak offers an affiliate programs trial using third party affiliate networks like CJ or Webgains. They will connect you with smaller brands belonging to Booking Holdings, like Momondo.

How to get car rental API?

The main providers of car rental APIs are global distribution systems (GDSs): Sabre, Amadeus, and Travelport. You should contact them directly to gain access and receive and API key.

It may be a challenging task for a small business to get full access to GDSs solutions, so you can consider traveltech providers that support car rental connection like Trawex or Travelpro.

There’s also some support at online travel agencies (Skyscanner, Priceline, etc). To access those, you normally must use affiliate partner contacts. Finally, one of the largest car rental suppliers, Avis, has a public API.

Besides APIs, many suppliers support affiliate links and banners, if that works for you. You may check car rental connectivity options in our article in more detail.

What is white label travel API?

White label and an API are two different solutions which serve a similar purpose - communication between the two platforms.

White label is a ready-made unbranded template that you can deploy on your website and it will link you to the provider of certain services. So now your customers won’t need to leave your site as they can access what they need from your page. Additionally, you can tailor a white label to match your brand. This way your customers won’t tell that it’s not a part of your website but a third-party template.

An example of a travel white labeled product is a template solution by Expedia that allows for adding their accommodation bookings to your website. You can read more about it in our article about Expedia Partner Solutions.

Working in the back end, an API pulls out the requested data from external servers and displays it on your side in your way. This means that you design your own interface and use the data only. When deciding on a travel API, you can check our article with the major APIs on the travel market.

Of two options, API involves a more sophisticated integration but at the same time, it’s more adjustable. Prior to getting at it, answer yourself whether you do need an API for this specific product. Oftentimes it turns out that a white label solution will do for you. And with minimal tech resources (the company you take the white label from, does the work for you) you can quickly include a travel solution in your platform.

answered  Jun 27, 2019

First, you need to become OpenTable affiliate. You have to fill in the form and pass their vetting procedure. If they approve you as a partner, you’ll be able to source restaurant info via their API and place reservation links in your app or website. Currently, OpenTable doesn’t allow for running full reservation process via the API. Your users will have to complete reservations using the OpenTable interface. The API sources publicly available restaurant info such as addresses, postal codes, aggregated scores, number of reviews, and food categories. The data is sent and received in JSON.

If OpenTable API doesn’t work for you, you may check other restaurant and review APIs that we’ve talked about in our article.

Hi there,

I think what you’re looking for is Booking.com and Expedia affiliate programs. They suggest various widgets that you can integrate in iframe.

Regarding Kayak, they don’t use iframes. If you consider making metasearch functionality similar to Kayak, you’ll likely need to integrate both Expedia and Booking.com APIs to source IDs and other hotel content. Again, to connect Booking APIs, you’ll have to sign up for their affiliate program. To access Expedia API, apply here.

Integrating a flight API into your flight website involves a series of steps. First, select a suitable flight API provider and sign up to obtain API credentials. Familiarize yourself with the API documentation to understand the available endpoints, request/response formats, and authentication methods. Plan your integration based on the desired features, such as flight search and booking. Set up server-side integration using a programming language and any necessary SDKs. Implement flight search functionality by making API requests and displaying the results on your website. If desired, enable flight booking by integrating the provider's booking API. Implement proper error handling for API requests and consider edge cases. Thoroughly test your integration before deploying it to your live website. Stay updated with the API provider's documentation for any changes or updates. Remember to comply with the provider's terms of use and usage limitations.

Sabre is one of three main global distribution systems (GDSs) on the market, along with Amadeus and Travelport. GDS is a database of travel data pulled from various service providers that connect travel agents with hotels, airlines, car rentals, cruises, and railways. What used to be a manual system with each reservation taking up to 3 hours is now a global network. Sabre was the first of such GDSs. Basically, you can’t make the reservation process automatic without connection to this system.

You can use just one GDS – Sabre, for example – or a combination of a few, but if you specialize in only cruises or railways, research which GDS gives you a better shot at covering all providers. As you can see from the image below, Amadeus is an undisputed leader in everything but hotels, and with Sabre you’ll receive an average number of companies, only if you don’t want to cover all the cruises.

The TripAdvisor Content API allows you to display detailed information about accommodations, restaurants, and attractions on your website. Integrating TripAdvisor Content API is fairly easy.

  1. Of course, first review the display requirements because it should be approved before the launch on your website.
  2. Submit an application form. Note, that access to the API is limited and it may take a while to receive a confirmation or rejection email.
  3. In the last section, you’ll have to describe how the API will be displayed, which is where you need to know the requirements from the step one.

Hi Cho

Yes, Travelpayouts looks like a nice option. Rome2Rio doesn’t have booking capability. It has search only.

If you’re fine with affiliate programs, also check Skyscanner, Allmyles, and KIWI. You may also consider Booking.com and Expedia affiliate programs, but they mostly address accommodation booking.
